Mastodon Updated to 4.5.2 (November 24, 2025)

We have updated C.IM to Mastodon v4.5.2.

This release does not introduce new major features, but instead improves polish and resolves several issues found after the rollout of the 4.5 series, particularly around quote posts, UX consistency, and input behavior.


Changes

  • The private quote education modal will no longer appear when users quote their own posts (#36926)

Fixes

This release contains a number of targeted fixes improving behavior in both the web interface and backend logic.

  • Fixed missing fallback link for quote posts with a content warning only (#36963)
  • Fixed statuses without text being hidden while loading (#36962)
  • Fixed g + h keyboard shortcut not working when a post was focused (#36935)

  • Fixed incorrect replacement of invalid quote approval rules (#36885)
  • Fixed hashtag autocompletion not being inserted correctly (#36884)
  • Fixed Cmd/Ctrl + Enter in the composer triggering confirmation actions unintentionally (#36870)

Summary

This update continues to refine the new quoting system and interface introduced in Mastodon 4.5, improving usability and stability while fixing several minor edge cases.
